Research
Further scientific progress is crucial for a successful energy transition towards a greener society. The institute is active in different experimental and modelling projects to contribute to a variety of aspects relevant for a more renewable future. Fields of work are, for instance:
- Development of technologies for the storage of hydrogen
- Research on the application of thermal energy storage
- Energetic analysis and optimization of processes for energy conversion
- Thermodynamic properties of working substances (both, for pure substances and mixtures)
- Reliability and resilience of new energy technologies
- Improvement on the dynamic operation of energy systems
